MySpace Founder Invests In Flurl.com

MySpace founder Brad Greenspan acquired majority stake in video search Web site Flurl.com, the company said Thursday. The investment amount was not disclosed.

Greenspan made the investment through LiveUniverse, a company he formed to focus on video, entertainment and social networking sites.

The move will allow LiveUniverse to begin discussions with financial institutions and content partners focused in the online video space, the company said.

Flurl.com said it indexes images, audio and flash content on Internet sites by relying on RSS feeds and manually matching HTML patterns.

Belgium-based Flurl.com had more than 5.6 million unique users in September 2006, up 361 percent from the prior year, estimates research firm comScore Networks.
