Google, Salesforce alliance rumoured
Google and Salesforce.com are reportedly discussing an alliance that will potentially give them an advantage over Microsoft.
The Wall Street Journal revealed that although Salesforce.com is not a particularly big company, it is one of the "fastest growing segments of the software market" and provides "customer relationship management (CRM) service to businesses worldwide".
Salesforce could offer its customers a full set of office productivity apps at a low, low price -- as an alternative to using Microsoft Office. They both compete against Microsoft Corp., which is starting to corral its online services together under the Windows Live banner.
