Security researchers have found what they say is an entirely new kind of web-based attack, and it only targets the Ajax applications so beloved of the 'Web 2.0' movement.

Ajax is a way of designing web applications where data is transferred to and from the web site in the background of the page, without the need for a full page refresh when the user interacts with it. It give web apps the feel of desktop apps, and is used in applications such as Gmail.

Kiko's $258,100 Buyer Revealed

It turns out Kiko was bought by Tucows. Kiko, the calendar company backed by Paul Graham sold for $258,100 on eBay.

Kiko, the calendar company backed by Paul Graham sells for $258,100!

In the final lap, it looks like there were about five active bidders in the final stages, the original auction was terminated by eBay.

The company recently became talk of the blogs, when the founders decided to cut their losses, and put the company on sale on eBay, Kiko’s angel round was $50,000 in convertible debt.

New Yahoo Home Page Goes Live Today

Yahoo’s new home page, which is currently viewable at yahoo.com/preview, will go live at yahoo.com in the U.S. today. The new home page has a significantly different layout than the current look, as well as some AJAX integration, DHTML and more personalization features. Millions of people may have their first interaction with AJAX today.
