Yahoo! ads begin eBay auction invasion
The eBay/Yahoo! partnership has begun to bear fruit. Yahoo! contextual search ads are beginning to show up in eBay auction listings. Despite assurances back when the deal was announced that ads would be shown for "complementary" products, initial tests are turning up competitive ads. In fact, right now Yahoo! ads are being shown for searches that bring back no auction results. Unfortunately the first reaction of eBay users isn't exactly fantastic.
