Digg has raised another $8.5 million in new funding from existing VCs, Greylock Ventures and Omidyar Network. The company, previously had raised close to $3 million from these two firms, and Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Ning and Netscape.
With the newest version of Digg's service, which includes the ability to post and rate podcasts and video, Adelson said that Digg will be able to maintain its lead position.

Glam Media, a fashion and lifestyle online hub, today announced it has received $18.5 million in Series C funding led by Duff Ackerman & Goodrich Ventures (DAG), with participation from existing investors Accel Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, WaldenVC, and Information Capital. Sources say BitTorrent, the company trying to monetize the peer-to-peer distribution software of the same name, is close to raising a substantial round of funding. The round is estimated at $15 million. BitTorrent previously raised $8.75 million from Doll Capital Management, something we also heard rumored3 before it happened.
