According Valleywag, Calacanis' next venture It's a cross between Wikipedia and Google. the new site (called Project X or Kokua) will create more digestible search results for popular queries such as the names of Hollywood stars, and tech products. The pages will be seeded, initially, with content gathered automatically from the web and other sources. But they will be open to contributions by readers.

Mark Cuban offers a wild idea on how Google or Microsoft could throw a monkey-wrench into the Apple iTunes business model. His theory: either one could write a check to the music industry that would match what Apple is paying - he figures the music industry take from iTunes is about $575 million a year based on the top labels market share of annual downloads of about 1 billion songs - and then start giving away music - maybe the first billion songs - with advertising support.

Kudos to Youtube for getting them to say yes. My advice to you is to always protect your downside. Ignore all the scammers who want your money, and dont listen to all the tax scammers who want to save you money on taxes. Writing that check is painful, but its the right thing to do. That aside..

Billionaire investor and dot-com veteran Mark Cuban had harsh words on Thursday for YouTube, the online site that lets people share video clips, saying only a "moron" would purchase the wildly popular start-up.
