Nielsen/NetRatings dealt the aging Internet-audience metric its latest blow when the company said Tuesday that it would no longer provide page-view rankings for Web sites.
NetRatings said it will be adding new measurements, including total time spent on a site and total visits, to provide what it believes will be a more comprehensive snapshot of how much visitors are using a given Web site.

Steve Rubel says:
The page view does not offer a suitable way to measure the next generation of web sites. These sites will be built with Ajax, Flash and other interactive technologies that allow the user to conduct affairs all within a single web page - like Gmail or the Google Reader. This eliminates the need to click from one page to another. The widgetization of the web will only accelerate this.

Google has begun giving out their AdSense gifts for the 2006 holiday season and the gift is a digital photo frame (GTA-316).
According to the instructions, it's a 960x240 screen and supports JPG images, MP3, WMA or WAV audio files and AVI movies. It also has a SD card reader for extra memory.
