It seems Mike Arrington has gotten the last laugh on more than a few bloggers — with his announcement that he has bought Fuckedcompany.com
"Tomorrow we will announce that we have acquired Philip “Pud” Kaplan’s FuckedCompany.com in a stock for assets transaction."
BTW: FuckedCompany is looking for a buyer, apparently Philip Kaplan is pretty busy with AdBrite, his Sequoia-backed ad network and he's selling the site.

Heather Harde, SVP of M&A at Fox Interactive Media is all set to join as the new CEO at Techcrunch.
Harde, worked on many deals for FIM including the acquisitions of Newroo and kSolo. A frequent guest at some of the earlier TechCrunch parties, Harde is quite familiar with the Silicon Valley landscape and spent a considerable amount of time in Northern California.

According a recent post on Valleywag, Michael Arrington didn't learn much at Wednesday's Blogging Ethics talk. Valleywag reader, Jayson Lim, pointed out that Michael reported on Maya's Mom receiving funding today and referenced an earlier writeup on TechCrunch in April. Except that's not the original article, it's been edited to remove bias disclosure made by Arrington, this was in the cached version:

Weeks ago, Arrington posted an open invitation on his website at 3 a.m. By sunrise, all 500 spots were taken; the onslaught of traffic crashed his site.
Arrington, a 36-year-old entrepreneur behind a long list of unrecognizable startups, has...

Last night on the patio made famous by August Capital’s Annual, TechCrunch hosted a massive party for 750 people (nerds, visionaries, philanthropists, etc).
These are photos from the party.

Two of the most financially successful Web 2.0 personalities, Michael Arrington and Jason Calacanis, are rooting for the financial failure of their competitors.
Calacanis warns the newspaper industry at his blog: In another 18-24 months newspapers are gonna hit the bottom and I think I'm gonna swoop in and try and buy one, build out the online portion, and buy a local TV station to go with it.
Arrington warns the blogosphere at BusinessWeek: I'm hoping everything crashes…Then I want to go buy all the big blogs.
Today, Arrington...
