Security researchers have found what they say is an entirely new kind of web-based attack, and it only targets the Ajax applications so beloved of the 'Web 2.0' movement.
Ajax is a way of designing web applications where data is transferred to and from the web site in the background of the page, without the need for a full page refresh when the user interacts with it. It give web apps the feel of desktop apps, and is used in applications such as Gmail.

This gave me the chills a bit when I first watched it. So much has happened so quickly and what's to come is truly unknown.

I just recently sign up for vox and I have to tell you - I love it. I've created a music blog because there is an option to stream music (although if you're a little savvy, you can actually just download the mp3 right from their website).

But, it's hard to put down the fact that a lot of energy and creativity is at work, even if most of it won't make the cut.
The alternative is no enthusiasm or creative juices flowing, and we are back in time,...

Dan Fost (SFGate) writes:
1. We learned our lesson last time. And we're going to cash out before this bubble pops.
2. This is not a bubble. Hot parties, overheated PR pitches, and five or six dozen social networking sites are just healthy indicators of a new boom.
3. It's all about community and sharing. But we told our venture capitalists that our exit strategy will make them rich. (Corollary: But you have to know someone to get into our conference/party.)
4. Online advertising will pay for everything. As if click fraud is any...
